Born in South African, Dallen is a world-renowned rugby broadcaster, covering the game’s biggest events including the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups, the 2018 and 2022 Rugby World Cup 7s, and the HSBC SVNS Series. Now based in Los Angeles, California, he has been the lead commentator in 65 Internationals and over 450 matches on the HSBC SVNS Series across events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Cape Town, Malaga, Seville, and Toulouse since 2016.

On the field, Dallen had a successful rugby career representing the USA over 50 times on the HSBC SVNS Series and also captained the USA 7s and 15s teams at the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel (placing 1st in 7s, 3rd in 15s) and the 2015 Pan American Maccabiah Games in Chile (placing 1st in 7s, 2nd in 15s). Because of these achievements, Dallen was inducted into the Maccabi USA Rugby Hall of Fame in October earlier this year.

After retiring from professional rugby, Dallen became the Los Angeles Program Director for Play Rugby USA from 2011-2017, which is a non-profit that uses Rugby as a vehicle for youth development and social change, growing the game from 50 to over 5,000 elementary and middle school students in Southern California. His media career also took off at this time serving as the Media Manager for USA Rugby at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and the 2013 Rugby World Cup 7s in Russia. Furthermore, in 2020 he founded the Rugby Hive Podcast with former Canadian 7s player Robin MacDowell, which interviews current and former international rugby players and coaches. The pair also founded the Rugby 7s Rollercoaster Podcast in 2023 which mainly covers the Premier Rugby Sevens.

We are excited to have Dallen as a partner, representing Tsunami as someone so well-versed in the game of rugby and so well-respected in the industry.
