8th March is International Women’s Day, a day where we we celebrated the achievements of women across the globe.
We have a lot to celebrate this year, with women’s sport smashing glass ceiling after glass ceiling. Here’s what we are celebrating in 2024:
– 2024 will be a milestone year for the business of women’s sport, crossing the billion-dollar mark for the first time globally – @deloitte
– Total revenue for elite-level women’s sports should hit nearly 1.3 billion USD, 300% higher than the professional services company since the last analysis in 2021
– Women’s sports media coverage has tripled over the past five years
– 2023 showed a huge surge in attendance of women’s live games, and we look forward to seeing this grow even more in 2024
– There has been a huge increase in the number of women in sports leadership roles in both men’s and women’s sports
